DIRECT ASSISTANCE
Private Yacht and Boat Rentals in Punta Cana
Planning a private day on the water in the Dominican Republic starts with clarifying what kind of outing you have in mind. Whether you want a relaxed afternoon anchored in a quiet bay, a memorable family excursion with swimming and snorkeling, or a celebration with music and drinks on board, Cap Cana Charters helps you identify the vessel, route and schedule that best match your group. Tell us your date, group size and where you would like to go, and we will check available boat options and provide clear pricing tailored to your plans.
Choose the right departure point
Where you want to go determines where your charter starts. Boats departing from Cap Cana Marina are situated directly in the Punta Cana area and provide immediate access to the local coastline. They are ideal for cruising along Juanillo Beach, visiting local sandbars, swimming in protected shallow waters, and enjoying leisurely hours near your resort or villa.
By contrast, offshore day trips to Saona Island, Catalina Island and the Palmilla natural pool depart from Casa de Campo Marina in La Romana on the southern Caribbean coast. If your group is staying in Punta Cana or Cap Cana, you will travel by road to La Romana first and board the boat there. Recognizing this distinction early ensures you choose a departure point that fits your schedule and expectations.
Find a boat that suits your group
The right boat depends on more than passenger capacity. The character of your day is shaped by each vessel’s design, layout and cruising style. A motor yacht offers air-conditioned interior cabins, shaded aft seating and a smooth, refined ride suited for couples, families and smaller private gatherings.
For larger groups, families with children or social celebrations, a private catamaran charter is frequently preferred. Its wide twin-hull design provides exceptional stability and generous open deck space, allowing guests to move around easily, sunbathe on forward trampolines and socialize while at anchor. Open boats and sport cruisers provide practical agility for shorter swim stops and coastal hops. We explain the functional differences between available boats so you can choose the right fit.
Half-day or full-day charter?
Your choice between a half-day and full-day charter should reflect how much time you want to spend on the water and which destinations are realistic. A half-day boat rental—typically around four hours—is suited for coastal cruising from Cap Cana Marina, anchoring at the local sandbar, swimming and returning with plenty of time left in your afternoon.
Full-day charters of around eight hours are required for trips departing from Casa de Campo Marina to Saona Island or Catalina Island, where distance requires dedicated cruising time. Because sea conditions, distances and harbor regulations govern navigation times, not every destination can be reached on a half-day charter. We will always confirm what can comfortably and safely be completed within your chosen duration.
Make the day your own
A private charter provides full exclusivity: the vessel and its professional crew are dedicated solely to your group for the reserved time. If your priority is peace and quiet, the captain can anchor in tranquil waters away from larger excursion crowds. If you are planning a birthday yacht party, a bachelorette gathering or a milestone celebration, the atmosphere can be set with music, refreshments and swimming stops.
For groups wishing to enhance their day, custom options such as curated catering, open bar packages, a dedicated onboard bartender, event decorations and a DJ can often be coordinated depending on the boat and advance notice. We provide clear pricing for any optional extras before you decide, ensuring total clarity before your charter date.
Swimming, snorkeling and island trips
The warm Caribbean waters offer excellent conditions for swimming and snorkeling over shallow coral reefs. However, specific anchorages, reef access and water clarity depend on daily sea conditions, wind patterns and your starting marina.
When you enquire, let us know if swimming, snorkeling or visiting a specific natural sandbar is a high priority for your party. Snorkeling equipment and water toys vary by vessel, and our team will verify whether gear is provided on board your selected boat or should be arranged ahead of time.
What is included in the price?
Pricing structures across private charters are not uniform, and inclusions vary based on the specific boat, route and customized quote. Rather than assuming standard inclusions, our team details exactly what each quote covers before you confirm a booking.
Every formal proposal will clarify your professional captain and crew, fuel for the agreed route, dockage fees at the departure marina, charter hours and guest capacity. Inclusions regarding bottled water, ice, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, snacks, prepared meals, snorkeling gear and round-trip marina transportation will be itemized directly so you understand the exact scope of your charter.
Getting to your departure marina
Because departures are split between Cap Cana Marina and Casa de Campo Marina in La Romana, transportation logistics are an essential planning factor. If your charter departs from Cap Cana Marina and you are staying within the Cap Cana resort complex or nearby Punta Cana resorts, transfers are brief and straightforward.
If you book an island excursion departing from Casa de Campo Marina to Saona or Catalina, you will need to allow approximately 50 to 70 minutes of highway travel each way from Punta Cana hotels. We can help arrange private transportation in an air-conditioned SUV or passenger van with a professional driver to pick your group up from your accommodation and return you smoothly after your charter.
How to choose and book
Booking a private yacht rental in Punta Cana involves a simple sequence: send us your date, group size and preferred destination; receive available boat options and clear pricing; review the details, inclusions and departure marina before confirming.
Tell us your date, group size and where you’d like to go. We’ll help you find the right available charter.
