By contrast, offshore day trips to Saona Island, Catalina Island and the Palmilla natural pool depart from Casa de Campo Marina in La Romana on the southern Caribbean coast. If your group is staying in Punta Cana or Cap Cana, you will travel by road (~50 to 60 minutes via private air-conditioned highway transfer) to La Romana first and board the boat there. Recognizing this distinction early ensures you choose a departure point that fits your schedule and expectations.
