CATAMARAN RENTAL PUNTA CANA

Private Catamaran
Punta Cana

Your own catamaran, captain and crew for the day - only your group on board.

Private Catamaran Charters in Punta Cana

A private catamaran is the easiest way to put a whole group on the water together. We have 8 catamarans, from 42 to 64 feet, for groups of 16 to 35 guests, each chartered for your group alone with a professional captain and crew. Rates run from US$310 to US$480 per hour for the boat, with a 4-hour minimum.

Choose a four-hour trip along the Punta Cana coast to swim at a sandbar and snorkel, or a full day to Saona Island, Catalina Island and the Palmilla natural pool. Tell us your date and group size and we will send you the boats that are free that day, with a clear price.

Our Private Catamarans

Which Catamaran Is Right for Your Group?

Group size comes first

Pick a catamaran whose maximum is comfortably above your headcount, so there is room for shade, music and food. Mid-size catamarans suit families and groups of friends; for 26 guests or more, look at the Catamaran Smile 64, Catamaran Sea Joy and Catamaran Sunrise.

Half-day catamaran from Cap Cana Marina

A four-hour charter from Cap Cana Marina is enough to cruise the coast, anchor at the natural pool to swim and snorkel, and be back at your hotel in the afternoon. It is the most popular way to spend a morning or an afternoon on a private boat in Punta Cana.

Full-day catamaran to Saona Island

Saona and Catalina Island are full-day trips of around eight hours from Casa de Campo Marina in La Romana, about an hour by road from Punta Cana hotels. A catamaran's deck space and stability make the open-water crossing comfortable for larger groups. See the boats and the route on our private boat to Saona Island page.

Catamaran or motor yacht?

A catamaran gives you more open deck per guest and a steadier platform at anchor. A motor yacht is faster and adds air-conditioned cabins. If the boat itself is part of the occasion, compare our luxury yacht rentals, or browse the full fleet with prices.

Celebrations on a catamaran

A catamaran is a natural fit for a yacht party or birthday and for a bachelorette boat party: everyone stays together on one deck. Open bar packages, a DJ, decorations and onboard catering can be added to any catamaran.

Private Catamaran FAQ

How much does a private catamaran cost in Punta Cana?

Our private catamarans are priced per hour for the whole boat, not per person: from US$310 to US$480 an hour, with a 4-hour minimum. The lowest four-hour price on the current fleet is US$1,240 on the Catamaran Breeze. Your quote confirms the exact price for your date, route and extras before you pay anything.

What is the difference between a private and a shared catamaran tour?

On a shared tour you buy a seat and sail with other groups on a fixed schedule and route. On a private catamaran the boat and crew are only for your group: you choose the departure time, how long to stay at each stop and the music, and nobody else comes aboard.

How many people fit on a private catamaran?

Our catamarans carry 16 to 35 guests depending on the boat. For the largest groups, the Catamaran Smile 64, Catamaran Sea Joy and Catamaran Sunrise take up to 35 guests. Each boat page shows its own maximum, which is set for safety and comfort.

Where do the catamarans depart from?

Half-day trips along the Punta Cana coast leave from Cap Cana Marina (Catamaran Breeze only sails from there). Full-day trips to Saona Island, Catalina Island and the Palmilla natural pool leave from Casa de Campo Marina in La Romana. We confirm the marina for your boat in your quote and can arrange private transportation from your hotel or villa.

What is included in a private catamaran charter?

Every charter includes the boat for your group, captain and crew, fuel for the agreed route, bottled water, soft drinks, ice and snorkeling equipment; catamarans departing from Casa de Campo Marina also include 16 beers. Catering, open bar packages, decorations, a DJ, photography and transportation can be added at an additional cost, quoted before you book, with no hidden fees.

Is a catamaran a good choice for families and children?

Yes. Two hulls make a catamaran steadier at anchor than a single-hull boat of the same size, and the open deck and nets give everyone room to move. Life jackets and safety equipment are on board, and all guests follow the captain's instructions.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the Dominican Navy officially closes navigation, your charter is cancelled and fully refunded. The full rules are in our booking and cancellation policies.
